A Positive Future Ahead.
Bringing Hope to HIV+ People.
Additional Service available to our members include;
Volunteering
Our service users are offered volunteering opportunities within our offices/project. Where the users request for further volunteering work, the Grace Project links them with Graft/nowiwork scheme aimed at helping people belonging to vulnerable groups to find work or volunteering opportunities in enabling them to find such chances.
Counselling
We offer one to one counselling service to our users, a much needed service especially for the newly diagnosed users. In response to our users needs, we have now started offering access to spiritual counselling – this entails linking our users to a team of pastors and priests who are willing to work with us on voluntary basis to provide this specialist service.
Peer Support Group
We run peer support group sessions on the last Thursday of every month; with specialists events - meal out in various restaurants slotted in on other days of the month. During these sessions users benefit information classes on various topics including medication side effects, healthy eating, healthy sexual lives etc. It is also an opportunity for them to buddy up with each other and continue supporting themselves outside GP, providing them with a network of friends.
Employment
We assist our users with the preparation of CV’s and also link them up with an LSC sponsored scheme called Graft/nowiwork – that helps to match their CV’s with jobs in various partnering organisations.
Immigration
We signpost our users to a team of solicitors who offer advise and services on immigration issues and associated concerns.
Hardship grants
We make hardship grants applications to non-governmental organisations including Crusaid and Cwac on behalf of our clients.
